Hey Tom, Did you ever get to run an autocross yet?
About 2 weeks ago I paticipated in my 3rd SCCA autocross event. I get more hooked each time I run. Just like the past 2 events, there were about 15 first timers.
I'm going to get to 1 more event before the season ends. It's only 15 min. from my house. I can't pass that up!
"Season ends" That really doesn't apply to the Philly SCCA because they run about 4 events during the winter. I'm going to try and get to all of those events.
If you haven't tried it yet you should. You won't regret it.
By the way, my car is stock and I run on street tires. The last time I was out my times were better than a 2002 Z06 with race slicks and a 2004 Mallet 396 Vette. So don't be intimidated.
