C4's with racing stripes photos

What do you think of the stripes on these C4's? My opinion of them is that they add nice visual appeal to their C4's. They remind me of the 1970 Chevelle SS's with these stripes.

When I eventually repaint, I have already decided on twin stripes like on the "Orange C4" or Ken's silver beast, hood only. Subtle, not a high contrast color. I think the contours of the hood demand them!

Silver Stripes and Golden Needles?

Silver stripes look good on the Dark Red Metallic. There's somebody who has them, but I can't remember who right now.

Agghhh!:ugh My secret is out! Silver is my color of choice for stripes on dark red metallic.

I've seen all of these cars in person and the are all very nice, but the silver and black one I find extremely atractive. Have been toying with putting a blue stripe like Tuna's on my 92.

They all look GREAT :cool I like what the guy with the yellow one did with the plate, but he needs the black GS's too I'm gonna try a black plate on mine as soon as it gets here, not sure it's gonna work though, and I don't have a stripe :cry ---YET, but I think about it now and then.

I think if I can figure out how to cover the rest of the white it might look good.

Decisions decisions

I've been thinking of doing the same. Now I have to decide between a single stripe (like the GS) or a dual stripe like the red with silver. Not to mention Admiral Blue, Electron Blue, or Le Mans Blue. I think it will look pretty good White, Blue stripe with Red interior. In racing white with blue is the international colors for American cars.

My Pattern

The attached picture was taken at the SCCA races on Cumberland airport probably in the spring of '66. My love affair with Vettes started about that time. I aways wanted one painted that way. Maybe some day.

Note that the blue has a very fine red pin stripe to seperate it from the white. A very nice touch. I wouldn't use a double blue stripe because that is a Shelby signature.

Awesome Grizzly I was kinda thinking the same thing. What is that behind the guy on the trailer ... a '59? I see it only has one stripe also. I know what you mean about the Shelby thing, but I was pondering something like the '04 CE ZO6. Its a dual stripe with a red wide pinstripe ... sure they use silver, but I think it would look alright in LM blue.

How's this?

This looks terrific---I really prefer the twin stripes, as they are far trimmer and less bulky looking than a single one. Also, it looks like they are the same width as each of the twin bulges on the hood. Is this correct? Are top and rear pictures available? My 89 Ebay rat is dark dark gray, and I have the GS hash mark stripes on the fender in silver. I also have the AFS Black GS wheels (are these what your have?). Silver is a good color for these stripes on darker cars.
