Anyone ever seen a mod for the ashtray, which I don't use anymore, so it could be used for small storage, etc.?

Excellent idea - fumbling around the console for mine really ticks me off sometimes. This was obviously WAY too simple of a good idea to be thought of by the likes of me :duhmrgil said:I mounted my remote garage door opener in mine, just took out the little circuit board an velcroed it to the ash tray guts..... Completely hidden from view.

No it wasn't easy! - 6 months and counting for me and my wife. I guess if our marriage survived this, it can survive anything! I never smoked in my Vette anyway becuase I hate the way cigarette smoke makes cars smell.mrgil said:That's discusting... Imagine what your lungs look like.
Ex-Smoker and glad I did it. Sure wasn't easy.

Hi Joe -Joe Vette said:Ok, I smoke in my Vette, get over it, but never would you see that in ANY car I drive.
Blade if that's for real you should have kept it to yourself. No offense, but a new AE treated like that? Yuck!!!
Great tip - thanks! I was getting tired of mine hanging on the sun visor....off to get the velcro from the tool box! ;worshipmrgil said:I mounted my remote garage door opener in mine, just took out the little circuit board an velcroed it to the ash tray guts..... Completely hidden from view.

LOL, in Blade's defence, that pic was originally posted in a thread in the polls forum about whether to smoke in your car or not. Blade explained that it was his wife who smoked in the car, not him. Several members indicated they thought it was grounds for divorce. :Lmrgil said:That's discusting... Imagine what your lungs look like.
