C5 FRC 6 speed Manual Trans Fluid Change

Hi was Interested in Changing the fluid in my 2000 frc 6 speed Trans 50k miles I know it supposed to lifetime, However sometime I get a little bump going thru the gears so I made the appointment for new hi perf fluid $30 a Quart x 3 and linkage adjustment at the local c5 corvette shop does this sound ok to do Thanks .Dr C5

$30 a quart, they better be using D4 ATF fluid from Redline. That fluid is synthetic and could help shifting concerns when cold.
If they are using standard Dexron 3 ATF, then that price is way too high.

Applications
AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF) is recommended for automotive and light truck applications that require synchromesh transmission fluid. Applications include manual transmissions and transaxles such as New Venture NV T350, NV 1500, NV 2550, NV 3500, NV 3550, NV 5600 and Tremec T-4, T-5, T-18, T-176, TKO-500, TKO-600, TR-3450 and TR-3550. Replaces Honda Genuine MTF Fluid for manual transaxles, and MTF-94 as used in some Land Rovers, MGs and Mini Coopers. MTF is SAE 5W-30, however, it is not for use in engines or wet clutches.

Hi there,
NO, NEVER put a Syncromesh specification fluid in the T56. This is for the older Tremec T5 and New Venture Gear N1500/N3500 present day production transmissions.
This will clog the frictional surfaces of the syncronizers and heat up the bearings of a T56.
As long as it states: DEXRON 3 You can use it.

You can now use Dexron 6 in all trans that use 3 per a GM TSB should be much better

True, but Dexron 6 is still only available in the dealers, and most dont want to pay the money for the Dealership fluid.

The best choice in lubricants which meet Dexron II or III, is Red Line D4 ATF.
