HEY Corvetteers,
I've been told that when racing off the line it is best to take off at 2500 rpms with the traction control off.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was reading Car and driver or another car mag recently, can't remember which. It was talking about the best quarter mile times achieved with a new vette off the line being when the engine was revved to 2500rpm and the clutch was dumped. It did not say whether traction control was engaged or not.

Im not sure but i would think that it would depend on your tires too. I have a 97 auto If I take the traction control off and step on it I'll spin out through 1st gear and half of second. Not good. I just take the traction control off and ease into it. Its more of a feel thing. You should slip but not too much..
