You can find it right next to the headlight fluid at Pepboys.

:confused
Jim, I thought it was next to the '710' caps.

They are across the aisle from the nails with the heads on the wrong ends.

Oh, yes. My mistake. The '710' caps are just down the aisle from the cans of 'elbow grease.'

I know I'm a little late to this party - but I buy the UPF44 filter that was mentioned previously. It is the Delco Ultra-Guard Gold. I believe most GM dealers sell them - I bought mine form Fichtner Chevrolet in Laurel, Montana. They have an excellent parts department and they are very helpful, not to mention that the prices are outstanding. I buy them by the case and the case price comes out to about $6.95 a piece.....

You know, this reminds me- it's now mid-July. In a little over a month, the snowflakes will begin to fall in the New England area for Remo, and he'll have to put his Lingenfelter-upgraded Corvette away for about nine months.

Mental note to the other C5 Forum moderators- we'd better start stocking up on Remo's winter meds now. If I have to live through another winter of Remo's Corvette-Acute Separation Anxiety, spawning yet another round of "Which is Better, Zaino or Meguiars?" debates that Remo stirs up, I may need meds. :ugh

Remo, we will not let you pull the C5 forums into your vortex of evil this winter.

;)

Oh no, not the dreaded RsCASA!!!!!!! ;LOL

Why do we not have a "head banging" smilie???? :rotfl

Randy,

Just so I'm clear about this. You buy oil filters for your C5 by the case? How long does it take you to go through a case of oil filters? How about the Mobil oil. Do you purchase that by the drum?

Okay, it seems winter has arrived early in Boston. Remo, I'm heading for the medicine cabinet now. ;)

Hey Remo - I buy them by the case, and I share them with my local buddies. I believe Fichtner will sell them individually also. Actually, last time around I bought two cases - one buddy of mine bought one case from me....he has 3 C5's. He changes oil more often than I do - I wind up doing it about every 9 months or so.

The big thing, filters don't go bad and the price was right. Oil - I buy by the case too.

20 days before Remo turns the big 6-O. You better get those "special" meds from Jim(Drth Vtr). ;LOL

The DRTH VTR pharmaceutical company carries several products.

Gerioplete may be just the ticket for Remo. It contains all of the usual geriatric medications in one single tablet. As Remo passes this milestone, it may be time to add Gerioplete to his pharmacopia. It would be a rather large tablet in Remo's case.

If this is ineffective, Hammercaine is now available in 5# and 10# applicators.

If all else fails, we also have Euthanoid for the problem patient where no other therapy is appropriate. This is sold in Michigan as Kevorkinol.

A Filtered Response

Hey do guys think I'm getting grouchy again? I just crushed up some Prozac pills and Silver Years vitamin tabs, mixed them with prune juice and ran the brew through a PF44 filter to get the big chucks out. I'm feeling better now and hoping that Randy will take my "condition" into consideration.:L

Say did I ever tell you guys about those DW2001C5 high capacity filters......... never mind.

Remo:cool

You know, Remo, that's funny. I have been using the LT-41996/5.7 oil filter for years. In every independent laboratory test, this filter has outperformed some of the major brand name filters!

The only problem is I can never find out the NAME of those name brand filters! ;)

Oh well! I do feel your pain!
