Who makes a good shop/assembly manual for the C5?

Get the factory manual :w

Try a search on eBay. I just picked up the 4 volume set of factory manuals in excellent condition for $61 plus shipping for my 97 C5.

I did a search for repair manuals and found several sites that sold them. I once bought a set for my '97 for $75 used. List is $125, I think, and they looked brand new to me.

After getting outbid several times on eBay, I just decided to bite the bullet and buy new manuals. I got them from Helm, Inc.: http://www.helminc.com

Happy reading! :)

Does Helm make the "official" factory manuals?

Chuck

I believe so. Either that, or they are reprinting the same content that's in the factory manuals. In any case, it's obviously GM's official info. And there's about 4000+ pages of it! Good resource for $120 (or less if you find them on eBay).

Just picked up the factory set from Helm for the '04, 2 volumes, 2 in. thick each for 120 plus shipping.
You can't beat having the factory stuff when it comes to working on 'em.......

Wow, $99.95 is a great price. I just ordered from Helm for $120.
Should have checked here first.
