C5 What, convertible? Z06?

Not being an expert, I though maybe an expert here could answer this question? The information on the link claims this is a 2002 convertible Z06.

So is it or isn't it a Z06?

That ZO6 was owned by John "Hutch" Hutchinson, the guru of the Grand Sport Registry. He customized it to emulate the Grand Sport, even to the point of having it transformed into a convertible. I've seen it several times...absolutely gorgeous! The last I knew, Hutch sold it and bought back his Grand Sport, affectionately nicknamed "The Wild Thing"!

Seems to be the real deal to me. Some guy that had a lot of money that wanted a Convertible Zo6 got exactly that. My only question is, why is he selling this beauty if he has put all this hard work into it? Is he thinking of getting the C6 Zo6 and creating another convertible?

Actually, Hutch sold that car a while ago and bought back his GS coupe. That must be an older ad. However, the question/answer section explains why he sold it. The challenge was met, the conversion happened...time to move on to something else.

well, let me see....awsome car....BUT...for that kind of money i can have my 04 Z51 vert made into twice that car for ALOT less money because i don't have to spend 21 big ones on the conversion and paint!!!!

I saw the car at Eckler's Corvette Reunion one year. As Elaine said, absolutely gorgeous car. Talked to Hutch a bit, seemed like a great guy and would answer any question you had on the car.
