C5 wheels on a C4?

Is it possible? I know you can buy spacers to put later model C4 wheels on the earlier C4's.

You sure can.... I'm running stock early C5 wheels paint black (255/17 front & 295/18 rear). The offset is not as much as the C4's so they don't come out to the edge of the wheel openings. But there are no clearance problems. The 295/18 in the rear fill the opening nicely IMHO..

Suggest you look up "AFS Corvette Wheels" on ebay. AFS makes some nice wheels and they have C5 styles in 17 inch sizes with the correct offset, etc.

On an 86 you will need an adapter plate to fit C5 wheels to the car. AFS makes some that don't require them.
