Have a question,
Are there any C5s running Z06 gauge clusters? Also do the C5 wheel sensors
work with the Z06 speedo? I would like to run this modification with the use
of stock 03 Z06 wheels. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Redcars :)

I can't answer your question about the Z06 gauge clusters. I believe the dash is the same on the Coupe, Vert, and Z06.

Wheel sensors. You must mean the tire pressure sensors that display actual tire pressures in the Driver Information Center (DIC). The Z06 does not have these sensors because it uses regular tires instead of the run-flats (actually called EMT or Extended Mobility Tire) on the Coupe and Vert.

The Z06 comes with a 12V air pump, a can of FIX-A-FLAT, and no tire pressure sensors. The reason is that FIX-A-FLAT or similiar products will destroy the tire pressure sensors supplied in the Coupe & Vert.

If you wanted to put tire pressure sensors on a Z06, you could. They are mounted on the valve stems. But, any car using these sensors must have the receivers mounted on the suspension and be wired to an on-board computer that can accept and display this data. I don't know if the Z06 contains this technology.

Simply put, mounting Coupe or Vert wheels on a non-corvette will not give you this function. Mounting Z06 wheels will not give you this function for the two reasons stated above.

Finally, changes on a C5 such as wheel or tire size can be accomplished with modifications to the parameters in the control computers. This is not done under a shade tree.

I mounted 03 Z06 wheels on my 99 coupe and used the sensors that came with my car on the new Z06 wheels. Everything worked out.

Thanks Pac-man for your wheel information, I will be changing my wheels
and tires soon . That is as soon as I get my driver information to work
again. I'm still looking into the installation of the Z06 cluster to see if it will
operate correctly in a C5, wondering if the wheel sensors will operate
with the Z06 cluster? If anyone has made this modification I would like
to hear from them, and find out their results.
Thanks, Redcars :w

You do realize that the Z06 tach has a 6500 redline for the LS6 engine. That is no problem if you already bumped your LS1 redline up with a programer. Other wise you might forget that you need to shift 500 RPM sooner.....;) so as not to hit your rev limiter.

Vettepilot-C4C5,
Thanks to both for your information. Sounds like an easy swap. I was unsure if the wheel sensors would read on the Z06 cluster.
