Does any of our vendors make a column spacer for the C6. My C5 tele column has about a 4" travel and my C6 less than a inch&1/2 travel. Does anyone know if a 2" spacer could be added to the column. I cannot get comfortable with the current travel. It the column was about 2" further out when fully extended I could enjoy the car would be perfect. Also, if no one produces a spacer is it possible to have one made that would be practical. Thanks, Mike

The telscoping wheel of the C6 has caused many to have their DIC read; "Active Handling Activated" or "Service Active Handling." These are safety issues as anyone that has had it "activate" at an inopertune time can tell you (if they're still alive.) There's a recall/tsb on the wiring harness being "pulled" by the telescoping travel. I seriously doubt you're going to get a wheel system with even more travel, but have fun lookin'!

I'd guess the product liability issues with such a product would be...pretty bad.:D

HI there,
I would be checking the soft stops with the telescoping steering column.

Disconnect the negative battery, reconnect and torque to 89 in lbs.

Then, attempt to push the switch down until it stops and hold for 5 seconds.

Do the same for the upward movement and see how much travel you get.

Allthebest, c4c5
