Could someone with the C68 ECC digital option for an earlier C4 (pre 1990) verify if their climate control does the same thing? If I adjust the fan speed in manual mode greater than 01, it resets back to 01 when I turn the ignition off and then back on. Everything else seems to hold to the last used setting (i.e. temp setting, vent control mode). When I first purchased the vette, I thought it maintained the last used fan speed.

I think mine drops down to one or zero, not sure. I wondered about that to, all the temp settings stay the same but the fan speed does not.

vettefan87, Appreciate the feedback. Mine will display 01 most of the time. Once in a while it will display 00. This is odd because the LED light is still on ECON, and I can't drop the fan down to 00 unless I select OFF. I was thinking of pulling the dash unit, clean the contacts, and check the solder joints.

I replaced my head end unit but managed to break the %^%$$#$% plastic clip that holds the cable to the head unit. Now it sometimes blinks out and/or resets to AC at 75 degrees. Be careful the retainer is not a part I could ever find, if you find one let me know.

The new head unit works find except for the above.

Yeah I know mine needs cleaning. Half the time the display will not light up and I have to push the buttons several times to get the readout.

Most of the time when I start the car, the fan speed will read 00, and it won't let me change the fan speed for a few minutes. And sometimes, when I start it up, I can change the fan speed immediatly.
