So this fall we are taking a nice road trip. I'd like to see if anyone knows what luggage (size, type, ect.) fits and fills the convertible trunk. I know there is a 5 piece set available, but that appears to be for the coupe. We are planning on using the vacuum storage bags in order to have enough clothes.
So I am looking to these answers.
Thanks

Two of these will squeeze in the back, end to end on their sides. They are cheap (to purchase) and are the right size to fit and don't have the rotating wheels hanging off it that hog space. The question is then do you want to drop the top on your trip or not? More room is had with the partition down vs sliding slim stuff under it.

I've used the same two soft side wheeled duffel bags since 1998 in a C5, three C6s and now the Stingray. You can really pack a lot more in totally soft side bags because they kind of adjust to irregular shapes and each other. We've taken 4 week trips, and packed enough clothes to easily mange with a mid-trip laundry stop. You can even get the duffels with wheels.

Chevy offers luggage for the convertible also; the luggage was offered with the Premiere Coupe and another set with the Premiere convertible. The luggage will fit the base coupe and convertible also, but it is rather expensive. Your dealer may have the dimensions and you could then purchase cheaper sets. The luggage sets were designed for the Coupe and Convertible as I understand.

Naturally it's way over priced, the Germans have nothing over GM when it comes to accessory/option prices anymore...........:)

I didn't know my Premier edition came with the luggage until someone on this forum asked me how I liked it. I had to go to the dealer and drop off the down payment check and the salesman came out with it. I guess they wanted that check before they were going to turn over that OVERPRICED option to me. It's nice stuff but not worth any where near $900.

I would recommend going to Ross stores and looking for soft sided bags with wheels. That's what I got for my short trips and I use one of my roadsters.

:)

I know this is an older thread but just came across it. I built a removable luggage rack many years ago for C6/C5 Verts. It also works on C7's. I have already 2 C7 owners with them now. My website is www.vetterack.com Only have this photo with it on the trunk for now. Color is off but it is silver and they come in black
