I have a project which requires identifying Corvette years.
I'm looking for visual cues that can be used to determine the year of a given C7.
For example, 1966 Corvettes have a "Corvette" script in the front left of the hood. No other year has it.
Along those lines, is there any way to determine the year of a C7 without looking at the VIN? Something that can be seen from say, 20 feet?
I've looked and so far nothing has popped up.
I've figured out a few that help, but mostly they tell us what year it can't be. For example, a C7 with the distinctive Z06 badging can't be a 2014 model year. And a non-Z06 with a flat bottom steering wheel is a 2016 or later. I'm also aware that some colors were only available for specific years.
But is there anything, as in the 1966 example, that identifies a C7 model year?
