Wouldn't you think the C7 Z06 would have a 427 (7.0) tricked out with the VVT, DI and AFM just like they did to the 376 (6.2) and some other goodies to give it 600 hp as the C6 Z06 jumped 100 hp over the C5 Z06. Sounds good to me! GM is awesome in their technology in the corvette.

The 427 is gone from the Corvette forever.

Latest scuttlebutt on the C7 Z-modeld is a 650-hp class, supercharged, DGI, 6.2L.

Let's just hope that they (GM) comes out with a C7 Z06. In 2013, Z06 sales were dismal (471). With up-coming government regulations, I fear the LS7 will be gone. It seems the Grand Sport was the model to get as far as recent sales go. A base coupe, vert, Grand sport, Z06 and ZR1...I see the Z06 gone with the ZR1 being the performance version of the Corvette.
With the base model at 450/450 (hp/tq), one can only imagine what the rest of the models will be...the horsepower wars are on, gotta love it!
