The dude that had my Vette before never took very good care of his wheels, they have caked up brake dust it looks like since the middle ages, how in the world do you get this stuff off? :hb
any suggestions, I have scrubbed and scrubbed but I don't want to scratch up my wheels

thanks

The best thing I have found is a product called Mother's Chrome Polish. I cleaned my wheels yesterday that had caked on brake dust. I had to really scrub, but it got really clean, with no scratching. The wheels really shine.

Check before you jump!!!!!

Hi Caddy
please post this under care and detailing because your wheel are different then a C3.

Just a caution.

Alan

Thanks Alan, I see what you mean.........Sorry!
thanks again

Try Brake or Carb cleaners as well. It really blasts the stuff off. Just wipe is off with a metal polish afterwards. as not to potentially hurt the finish.
