yea this guy wants 8k for those wheels....this is like the 4th run on ebay.

I've seen these for sale before too, but this time the auction doesn't have a reserve set and the bidding starts at $3200. These wheels could sell for a reasonable price if the bidding doesn't drive it up too high. :bang

Wow! I didn't see the no reserve part. Man I wish I wasn't so tapped right now. :( Id buy them in a heartbeat.

DYMAGS

I have an 88 Callaway twin turbo with 10,000 original miles with the original tires and Dymags. Are the Dymags scarce? I am amazed at some of the prices I here them going for.I feel kind of lucky to have them. :J

The Callaway DYMAG's were an option on 1987 B2K's in 2 different styles during that model run (16 & 17") In 1988, 17" Callaway DYMAG's became standard on ALL Twin Turbo B2K's and remained until 91 (when production issues, etc) Some 91's have OZ wheels...
Scarce, yes...
Don't be too amazed though... $8,000 bux is what more than a few sets have been advertised for however, I have yet to see a set sell. (I know of one good deal on those wheels that recently went through - NOT 8K!!! )

The similar "Style" 17" DYMAG's were avail. as well however, they said CORVETTE instead of CALLAWAY but visually looked the same. Those wheels were avail. NEW for about 1grand a wheel (once you bought the 88/89 vette center cap)
A set of those sold for about 2200 bux at Carlisle this Summer.

A 3rd style of 17" DYMAGS was avail from places like Mid America or "E.M." and were priced about the same as the Corvette DY's however, did not used a closed lug design.
...enjoy! *89x2*

Great information 89x2. Thanks!

This set mentiond on ebay was brand new in boxes, the 17 inch Dymag with Callaway. They sold to one lucky buyer for $3200.00. He/she bid with only a couple of minutes left on Saturday morning, December 7.
:eek

If I may add that the 16" five spoke variety for '87 were put on less than 30 cars. Mine are 100% totally black, however, in the November '86 issue of Car and Driver, the TT in that article had the outer lips of the wheels polished to be silver.. interesting... I've never seen a set of the black ones with a silver lip. There were a couple cars at the reunion with the all black variety, but none with the polished lip. Anyone have any ideas?

BTW, that same article says the Dymags reduce unsprung weight of the car by a whopping 40 POUNDS! That's huge!
