First, and foremost, thank you to the many dedicated members who made the effort to contact us with offers of assistance and support. In light of the situation, it was truly appreciated during the difficult times.
To those who helped spread the word about where to find the Backup Forums, thank you for helping out.
What have we learned from the server crash? Obviously, the importance of up-to-date backups and redundancies cannot be over-emphasized. We will re-double our efforts to find ways of recovering more quickly. In fact, we are already in the process of taking steps to insure that this situation can hopefully be avoided in the future.
We intend to publicize the existence of the Backup Forums so that future problems will not leave people wondering what happened. However, to those of us charged with the responsibility of running the forum, the most important thing we were reminded of is the depth of loyalty and support from so many of you -- the membership.
What's next? We will go over the site to ensure that everything is fully operational, and put into action some recovery improvements. At this time, the Knowledgebase and site e-mail system is down, but we are working to try and rectify those systems.
Once again, on behalf of the Corvette Action Center Administration, I would like to thank everyone that took the time to contact us and share with us how helpful the site has been to them and offer their best wishes for a speedy recovery.
