Does anyone know what specs a callaway vette has. I look on the net and found a bunch of tech articles but nothing on type of crank rods or pistonds they used. Even the casting and cam shaft specifications would be nice. So far I know its a 7.5:1 CR and they used garret turbos. Im trying to get as much tech on the engine as possible.

Shaggy,

That depends on what model year Twin Turbo and wether any upgrades have been made. For example, 87's have IHI turbos vs Rotomaster(Garret) turbo's in 88+, and even later cars have the wonderbar which increases air intake.

Take look through my website listed in the sig below as well as my older website (and others) listed in the links section and you will get more info on some of the specs and upgrades which Callaway has made for these cars.

My car in particular was upgraded by Callaway in '93 with a TT3 Cam, billet steel rods, 450 hp pistons, head porting, 2" intake valves, 1.56 exhaust valves, and Stainless steel exhaust manifolds.

Cheers,

Luigi

chris (89x2) should know the answer to your questions.

Callaway reprinted copies of their original "Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette Owners Manual" a few years back and sold them for I think $20 each. I purchased a couple of them at the time. They have ALL the specs for the cars, as well as Service Procedures, Maintenance Schedules etc. You might want to contact Callaway in Old Lyme and see if they are still available.
