are you still looking for the turnswitch for your car?
I remember you having trouble locating one.

here is a source and I understand they do have them in stock.
http://www.shee-mar.com/
I think the price was $45.00

I hope it helps.

Barry

Thanks Barry,
I have been in touch with Shee-Mar and they are running off several hundred examples. Many of those will go to secondary vendors but they will have one in the mail for me on arrival. ETA at their shop is early May. I believe the price will be $75.00. So the EBay sellers who have been gouging people $350 for them will see the bottom of their market drop out.

Paul

All i know is that someone on another forum just posted that he needed one, found this place, they had them in stock right now and the price was $45.00 so I wanted to pass the info along to you.

Barry,
The part number on their web site is incorrect. He will receive the wrong switch. That happened to me a couple of years ago. I spoke with them about that but I guess the correction has not been made.

And I appreciate that very much! BTW I am having my new stereo with the IPod Shuffle installed tomorrow. I'll let you know how it sounds.

Barry,
Sounds great! I have 35 tunes on that little Shuffle device. The IPod along with the new KHE-200 (50W x 4) is exactly what I was looking for. Not boombox territory but just perfect for me. I have to tidy up the cable routing and then the job is finished. Thank you for your advice during the winter! Having those AUX jacks did the trick.

glad it worked out for you Paul

having the AUX input jacks make a BIG difference in the sound quality over the FM transmitters or cassette adapters.
When the budget allows me to, I'm having my stock radio sent out for a rebuild and modern conversion and will have them add the AUX input line on mine also.

Yes, I was very pleased with the outcome. Wish it would warm up here so I can drive. Will be 27F tonight.

wow, that really cold for almost May!

it was a beautiful weather day here today and neither car was available to drive.
The '78 went into the shop yesterday for the AC system to get worked on so that that car is gone until tomorrow or Sat.
I did drive the '65 today but that was at 8am this morning to drop her back off at the paint shop to get a couple minor things corrected and that was only a 15 minute drive :( so she is gone until sometime tomorrow so i missed a GREAT day to be able to enjoy either of the cars.

Feels strange, yesterday morning I could walk out to the garage and see TWO vettes sitting there and now tonight the garage is empty since both cars are sitting in a shop. odd timing for that to happen at the same time!

Sunday will be a great cruising day though as our vette club has an awesome day planned so I'll take the '65 out and will put about 225-250 miles on her than :) Man, my butt is going to be sore and my ears ringing from the side pipes after that amount of milage in one day in that car but it will be well worth it! :D

Paul, you are going to be warmer than us, did you get any snow last night also?

I drove Heaven 800 miles in one day last year. From Bowling Green, KY to home. Z28Canuck followed in the Tahoe.

:crazy

I just bough a complete Turn signal switch from LIC for $35.00..complete with upper steering shaft baering and connectors. It's not NOS but looks nice.

Gonna put it in tomorow..:D

The one Paul needs is different. The '67/'68 years used a different part number and hard to get hold of.

Bob

800 miles in one day is a lot no matter what car you are driving!

at least you have lower rear gearing and a 5-speed. I still have the 4-speed and 4:11's. I'm sure your exhaust is still much louder though thru your pipes than mine........ :)

Tom,
No snow but it is certainly cold enough for it. But it looks good for the weekend.

VNV,
The 1967-68 switch is unique because of the introduction of four-way flashers in 1967 and the move of the ignition switch from the dashboard to the steering column in 1969. So it's sandwiched between 1966 and 1969.

Barry, check out my thread on the rear window trim. Would you ask you paint shop guy for some tips - I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Steve
