Cam Install

I'll be doing the cam install Saturday morning 26 Aug. Anybody close to the Philly area is welcome to stop by and laugh as I bang knuckles and screw stuff up. Folks who may be thinking of doing this themselves can get a feel for what is involved to help make the decision to tackle this or not.

I'm not sure there are many folks round here that are willing to take apart their new cars ... but if you want to see how its done the invite is out there.

Do you have the oil galley insert rods to hold up your lifters??

The C6 has those little clips in the valley that hold the lifters up. So all ya gotta do is roll the cam over 2 revs with the push rods out and all the lifters, in theory, will stay up. I know on the motors with some miles those things don't always work... but on my new motor I shouldn't have any issues. lol... I hope

HOL-EE CRAP! The car sounds so sweet!!! The longtubes made a world of difference.

My goal here was not horsepower, I just wanted to make it sound like a Vette. I got in it a lil and good googly moogly it flys. Cam install coming here shortly. I'm a little tired so I may wait on that. Plus, I cant stop driving the car sounding like it does
