Cam Replacement

I'm looking at buying either a 3rd or 4th gen (pre-LT1) and think I'll probably end up swapping out cams on either (and heads, exhaust, and whatever else my wallet and wife let me spend money on). Since C4 engines come out through the bottom of the car (or at least that's how they went in at the factory) I don't want to have to pull the engine. Is there enough room to swap cams without pulling the engine?

You pull out the engine from the top.

But you can get the cam out with the engine still inside, you just have to remove everything in the way and the radiator and unbolt the tranny and use a jack to tilt the engine up.
