So I'm starting to tear up the front clip to make repairs to my 66 roadster and when I took the driver's side top surround off I found this bracket inside the cowl/pillar area:

Here's what it looks like, any clues as to what it is and where it belongs? It seems to have been stuck in there for a while.

Bracket Identification

Hi!
I believe this bracket is one of two brackets that secure a brace rod from the front lower valance under the grill area (fiberglass that is still attached to your bracket) through the radiator support at the bottom and the rod brace secures at the top near the headlight. My 65 is put away for the winter, but I might be able to get a picture tomorrow if you need it.

Interesting, thanks for the reply. I'll check my AIm to see if I can find the part in there.

Check if this looks like your bracket?

Silver,

I can't quite make out the dimensions of that bracket from that photo. It sort of looks like it, though.

Hi!

It was kind of hard to get a good picture, if you would like I can try to reach in and get dimensions. If you look under your valance, check and see if there is a hole or repair directly under the inside of the headlight housing by the radiator support.
