Can anyone try this for me?

I am thinking about replacing my rear view mirror with an electric auto-dimming one.

The original mirror has five wires going to it.

An interior lights dimming (this is the one I am concerned about.)
A ground.
Power that is hot in run or start.
Two wires that are hot at all times.

I can't do this myself because I haven't had the time to do the aftermarket radio resistor mod causing the SYS light (which is caused by an open in the radio head dimming circuit.)

If you have access to your mirror plugs can you remove the plugs and test to see if you get a SYS light?

To test, remove both plugs, ignition to on, no need to start, place finger over ambient light sensor and see if SYS light comes on.

I THINK it may not cause the SYS light because it would be the same as if one of those little glowing red lights on the bottom of the mirror burned out but I would just like to make sure.

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone on this.
