I have the motor out and I want to clean the engine compartment out. I'm thinling about Blast and a pressure washer. I'm open to all suggestions. I want it clean and greaseless before I put it back together, but I don't want to damage any electrical stuff. Thanks for any suggestions.

Just use common sense and you'll have no problems. ;)

I didn't use my pressure washer when my was out this time, but I did use Simple Green and the like (I forget what the purple stuff is called, from Castrol - it's good!)

Just try not to deluge anything and it'll be ok.

I agree with Z51 .I would make sure my elect. connections are covered up good(no sense in asking for trouble) and use a cleaner that won't erode or comprimise rubber or the wire coverings. When I was a mechanic ,way back when,we use to use pressure and steam to clean engine compartments and thats when we used electrical tape for everything 'cause their was no such thing as duct tape. :w

Thanks guys, I been out there all afternoon with a spraybottle of diluted Blast, a toothbrush and a hose:bash Damn, is my back sore, and I haven't really made much progress.

I didn't worry to much about the connectors cause they'll have plenty of time to dry out before they ever see any power. Is there something I should really be worrid about? There is ton's of grease in there. Worse than others I've done.

I want to get all the wire looms cleaned up and electrical tape anything that looks unsihtly on the way back together. I'm trying to find a way to get HOT water to my pressure washer for my next session. Wish my hotwater heater was in the garage, instead of in the house:hb

Castrol SuperClean I believe

Purple Bottle
