I've heard about it here and over on "another" Corvette forum - yet I've not read what the symptoms are. My car's warranty is coming to an end - this is something I'd want taken care of if need be. Thanks!! :w

Mary,
Did you check it out under the Tech Center tab, KnowledgeBase, 1997 - 2004 models??

The fuel guage problem where the guage drops to zero, the guage deosn't read full after filling up or car runs out but guage reads some qty of fuel is applicable (per the Bulletin) to 97 - 00 cars.......maybe someone else will chime in with an update.....

Darn it. No, I didn't look over there. I will. I'm not real successful in actual "searches" on the forums, that's why I didn't do one. But I know what section you're talking about. I'll take a peek-see. Maybe it's not even an issue with an '01. I'm one of those who is absolutely paranoid about running out of gas. Thanks for your help, as usual. :D :w Always appreciated.

Mary

(Okay, maybe I'm not safe. Hehehehehe. The TSB's include 2002. I wish the thing would go haywire like right now, before the warranty expires, if it's going to go haywire. I'd rather have it register as empty when it's not as opposed to registering fuel when it's empty, though.)

We have to stop meeting like this!

Hows the door repair saga going????

Hehehehehehe. No!! :)

Well the guy who sold me the car (at the Ford dealership) said, No dice. Not their responsibility. Then I got a little more assertive and called the general manager directly, bypassing the sales manager. Long story short, he asked that I go get an estimate at the body shop they use. He's aware I'm picky where it's repaired/replaced/painted - but I got the distinct impression I'll get some contribution from them. Hey, it's better than nothing. I'd be happy with half... but I won't share that tidbit with him from the get-go. ;)

As a side note, the guy who installed my sound system in the car and who's fabricating a nice custom box for my sub thought the door could be repaired. I don't know why I think he'd know one way or another.... LOL!!!!
