Car Alarm question????

Thinking about installing a car alarm. Did a little research on the web and I became overwhelmed with all the different types :confused . Alarms that will just let out the awful noise that is ignored , ones that will call you to let you know your car is not where you last left it, and ones that will allow you to track it so you can hunt the evil doer down to knock some heads together ad .
I’m really just wanting one that would make it very difficult to start the car. Also it would be nice to be easy on the eyes without a bunch of flashing LED’s, wires, etc..

Any ideas?????

EANTS, thanks for posting this thread. i would like to see what answers come forth. i would like to get one also.however, i would like to incorpate the extrenal alarm key switch,and the factory horn..

Check out Bulldog Security. They have some simple alarms that have current sensing, motion detection and start interrupt built in. Very reasonably priced. Easy to install.

Keep this in mind eant --- a bright flashing LED can be a deterrent to a would be scumbag thief

Am using a Bulldog here ...... like you say, inexpensive and I do like the voltage sensing feature. The hardest thing about installing it was to find space for it under the hood!!

No start interrupt built into it, but I installed a pump shut-off switch to use when leaving the car over-night at some motel.
