I went to get some gas. Started her up and the idle was very rough. Drove to the stop light and the car died. Could not get her started and the battery is also dead. After 30 minutes, I get her started and check the volt gauge. It reads 10.0 / 9.9. Barely made it home. Now it barely idles and thats all the juice the gauge shows. Anyone have this happen. Help here. Alternator going bad or gone, or loose ground wire. Where to look???? :mad

Get that battery up to a well charged 12Volts before you try anything else. Now, it might just be a bad battery finally going south, or you may have an Alternator problem. First start with the easy stuff. Charge the battery and see if the car runs and idles fine after the battery is charged, or will hold a charge at all?

It was the alternator. Got a brand new AC Delco for $107 with a core exchange and a Military discount. Must say, I think I got a good deal.:D
