I am having problems with proper fit of the after market carbon fiber air bridge to replace the stock C5 air duct on my 2000 Vette. It seems the two ducts I have tried from The LAPD does not fit snug enough and will allow air to escape.
I talked to the manufacturer who makes them for MidAmerica, Ecklers, Corvette Mikes, etc and he said to take the rubber gromet type gasket off of the stock duct and install it on the carbon fiber duct on the MAF side and it should fit like a glove...but it does not. It has small incisions in both sides of the port that makes a proper fit impossible.
I have a stock throttle body and a Black Wing air induction unit.
Any suggestions? Thanks
