Help! I recently purchased an Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor for my 1978 silver anoxic ersatz corvette. I installed it just fine but now I'm having trouble figuring out the throttle linkage. I snapped this photo with three labels numbered 1, 2, and 3. I can't figure out how to connect the linkage. Do I need to purchase a kit of some sort, and if so what kind? Also, can you help me determine what each one of those labeled linkages are? Please don't be a jerk, I'm learning as I'm going, by no means am I mechanic. Thanks in advance. God bless

You might take another look at Edelbrock's catalog. My guess is Edelbrock offers some accessories or adapters which will help you get that carb properly connected to the gas pedal.

1) Is your throttle pedal
2) Is your cruise control transducer.
3) Is the kick down linkage for your automatic transmission.

I may have 1 & 2 backwards depending on which number goes to what cable, but the cable with the slot in it is the cruise control transducer, and the cable with the ball end is the cable to the throttle pedal inside the vehicle. Good luck with it. :)
