Careful with upgrades

A friend I work with inherited his dad's 99. He wanted to upgrade,I havent gotten a ride yet but he says 1st gear is about useless since it spools up so fast.The org clutch went south on the 1st set of dyno tune pull's. The total cost was 11k for the upgrade to 500HP & the new clutch.He hasn't got to Atco for track times as of yet.
