I'm thinking of putting an oil catchcan on my new C7. Anyone have any experience with this type of device? Thoughts.... is there a significant benefit?

Go to the Stingray Forum - many posts and threads to the issue. Seems there are only two companies that sell the effective catch can, Elite engineering and RX Systems (Tooner Boost). Have two systems, one for the non Z51 model (base model) that does not require an attachment for the wet well sump, just for the PCV system. For the Z51 models, one needs two attachments, one for the dry sump at WOT and one attachment for the PCV system - one can two hoses. Seems to be a more of a problem with the Z51 models than base models - oil in the airbox from dry sump and oil from the PCV system entering the TB etc. The data seems to support the need for a catch can as oil is trapped before it can enter the engine. GM issued a TSB for Z51s on the amount of oil in the dry sump - instead of full with the oil level at the top of the dip stick hash mark, GM recommends oil level at half way up hash mark or less. There is a problem, but GM does not acknowledge one. You will have to make your own conclusion. I have ordered one.
