What do you guys do when an 81 style centercap won't hold in? I used some type of epoxy about 2 years ago and it held until today. It wasn't noticeable, but maybe it was too weak. I am wanting to try something else instead of buy new but epoxy may be best option.

Try carefully wrapping 2 layers of masking tape around the base at the mounting lugs. Cut off or fold the excess into the cap. Works good for me.

Did the masking tape thing last night. Worked pretty good. Water or anything ever cause it to loosen up?

I use 3m emblem glue. No worries for me, I've had to pop them out to balance the tires and just glue them back in. It's strong enough, but not too strong.

Mine never get wet! but I can't see that being a problem. Just check every once and a while. I have 2 on like that(out of 12 total). I have this silver foil tape they use for home heating and A/C that I'm gonna give a try some day.
