Help! Change Oil Light

Anyone know how to turn off Change Engine Oil light out? Had Oil changed yesterday and technician at dealer failed to turn off light. Can't find anything in owner's manuel...

Key ON don't start
Press "ENG MET" and release--within 5 seconds press/release "ENG MET" again--then within 5 seconds press and holdthe "GAUGES" button--the "CHANGE OIL" light should start too flash--keep holding the "GAUGES" button until the "CHANGE OIL" quits flashing and goes out--it should be reset--if not cycle the key and repeat procedure

I have a 1990 vette. My change oil light came on I tried that about 10 times and it is still on. What eles can I do?:confused

That procedure works in my '91. I found out how to reset it in... are you ready for this... the owners manual!

You are so right: reading is easier in the long run than using the forums. page 92 in the '91 manual. The diff from later models -I think- is that the 91 says to use the RANGE button in step 3, not gauges.

Also try this next time as it might be easier to remember, key on engine off and pump the throttle pedal 5-10 times quickly, this works on most GM vehicles.
