Changing brake pads

I do not plan on tracking my 2021 C8 with Z51 option. I don't want to deal with all the brake dust the factory brake pads produce. My question is because the car has an electric boost brake system, is it necessary to disconnect the battery when switching out the brake pads? If it is, does that mess anything up with the computer or settings? Thanks for any info you may have.
