Hello everybody,

As i have the intake off and placing new gm hydraulic lifters in my 81. A few years ago the engine was rebuild with new camshaft and new thicker headgasket.

But the question. As the space between the camshaft and rocker is bigger with the thicker headgasket do I need heigher pushrods or is it something the pre slash in the hydraulic lifter can take? As i already drove it a couple of years there it no valve play noise.

It went from the OEM steel gasket to the Oem Felpro.

Greetings Peter

I would think that the adjustability of the rocker would make up for that...if its working fine I'd leave it alone....

Ditto. No need to change the pushrods unless you go to a different ratio rocker arm.

Thanks! That's just what i need! I also have some 1.6 roller tip rockers but i don't want to remove the heads for elonging the slots and when fore sure changing the pushrods. Thanks for the answers!

Greetings Peter
