I did a search first and it didn't help so........
Car: '88 L98 w/non-heavy duty brakes.
I changed my front pads a couple weeks ago, no problems, quick and straight forward. I now want to change my rear pads. It looks like a bolt at the top of the rear caliper is what I loosen to flip the caliper out to get to the pads, is that correct? Is this bolt metric or standard? From what I understand I don't have to do anything with the emergency brake to replace the pads. Am I correct on that? Any help you experienced people can give is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rear brake pads

On my '95, it's just as you describe, no messing around with the emergency brake at all. Quick and easy, took longer to get the wheels off than to change the pads. I don't recall the fastener size, it was in my toolbox already.

The bolt is metric, 19 I think was a few months ago when I did mine.
:w

Thanks for the help. I thought I was on the right track, but just needed a little reassurance from the collective experience of the forum.

Thanks again
