Actually, the VIN looks odd also. Maybe a typo.

According to our 84 VIN chart Corvette Action Center | Model Center | C4 | 1984 | 1984 Corvette Identification

the 10th digit should be an E for model year 1984. It is an early 84 though, looks like Vette number 2885.

If the mileage is real and the condition is as pristine as the photos indicate, it could be a very nice find. If the buyer can get past the overeager salesman's BS.

Calvin Klein must have been a really lucky guy! If he owned a 1983 Corvette with "new for 1985" TUNED PORT INJECTION- he must have known somebody at GM to get that EFI system two years early.
