I like the fact it is for a good cause. I just think peope should donate from the goodness of their hearts and not becase Mr. XYZ owned it. Oh well- if it works...

I wouldn't doubt the buyer might try to take a deduction but the listing says the seller is the one donating the proceeds...so that sounds like double dipping to me but probably wouldn't be the first time someone might try that.
