I am sure I am not the only one who likes to make videos of my quarter miles passes and auto-cross runs, or even street "driving" (All at legal speeds of course) I wanted something to mount my camcorder in my Corvette that is less expensive, less time consuming and more easily removable than a harness type bar.

So I am making Simple camera mount brackets for C5s and C6s, This bracket will install and remove in less than 5 minutes. You simply remove the 10mm nuts in the rear of you center console (Under 2 plastic trim caps) lift up on the rear of the console and side the bracket in, over the studs and lower console back down and replace the nuts.

The bracket is made form hand formed metal bars and will support min-digital camcorders and cameras weighing up to 1.5 pounds (including tape and battery.)

It worked out so well in my car, that I am thinking of making some more.

What do you think? Anyone interested on a product like this? Under $100.

I appreciate any comments!

Thanks!

Warren,
As a recipient of some of your videos taken from (I'm guessing) a previous generation of the device you're showing here, I have two comments:

(Are you sitting down? :L )

First, the quality of your videos is OUTSTANDING! IMHO, it rivals what I see when I watch Car and Driver TV on Spike on Saturday mornings. The resolution and overall quality of the picture is incredibly clear, level and free of bumps. It makes it very easy to appreciate the ride.

Which brings me to my second point- I've gotten to watch your observance of the posted speed limit. I think I'll stop there before I write anything which may be used against you in a court of law. ;LOL

For everyone else viewing this thread, let's just say there's one video in particular where Warren demonstrates the highways in and around New York. And if you blink, you miss the skyline in its entirety. Now, I know New York does not have a skyline that passes fairly quickly, unless the driver is... um... 'nuff said. Don't want to get my friend Warren in trouble. :D

Thanks, but a camera mount came with my crossbar for my shoulder harnesses.

I'd love one of these... looks like that would make reviewing a track day much more fun.
