can I get a usage on that one? (never heard it before ; )

So, what the heck is 'Yinz' anyway?

'Yinz', also seen written as 'You-ins' or 'Yuns' and is still used today in Pittsburgh. As a result of the distinct denial that life exists outside of Allegheny County and the popular belief among Pittsburghers that it's better if you procreate with others like you, a unique language has evolved in the Pittsburgh area.

One of these phrases, 'Yinz' is used among the natives to denote a specific group of people, as in: "Hey, Yinz guys goin'' dahn-tahn 'n-dat?" Which loosely translates in popular English to: "Hello friends. Are you traveling to Downtown Pittsburgh?" :L

: ) hehe...every place I've been and everybody I meet from a different place has their own language I think : ) My buddy says hi- I was on the phone with him and I guess he lived around there-knew excactly what you meant ; )

Hello again...cutting it close guys. Does anybody at all want to buy this gorgeous machine? It has the original papers , t-top bags and might even still have hte window sticker. Trust me....it's a gorgeous car, perfectly upkept, and ready to be a show car or reliable daily driver. Please...someone...take a look at

it.http://usedcorvettesforsale.com/out.php?id=9406&cid=3

It sure looks like a great Corvette Battlesmurf. I sure wish I could take her off your hands.

On the Pittsburgheese, "Yinz guys tawlkin' 'bout chipped ham samiches? Do you got any gumbands? Last time yinz been to Kennywood?"

:pat

Hehe...no..that means I'm in the army, but I still can't get used to how many different dialects there are floating around : ) Car is still for sale. (had a teenager try to get it...rather his parents tried to buy it for him...) I just want the car to go to a good home. $14,700 takes her home.

(hehe..even more urgent now..selling my 92 Daytona Iroc R/T) I deploy in a matter of weeks. I can get awesome shipping deals for you guys on this vetter if you need it.

First of all battlesmurf, good luck in selling your vette. She does look mighty nice. Second, and more importantly, good luck when you get deployed (and thanks for serving). Now, about the "Pittsburgese". Are yinz guys makin fun of us that eat chipped ham sammiches, wrap things together with gumbands, and head dahn tahn an at? Now, if yinz will excuse me, I havta red up a few things and get a glass of pop. :L

Damn! You had to go and mention chipped ham; now I'm hungry for some. :L

Can't get it like that out here. :(

It figures...exactly what I'm looking for, except I've got a pristine 91 to get rid of first, and that aint happenin. My hat's off to you sir, that's a beautiful car, but I can't afford one, without getting rid of the other, which is why I was looking for a trade off. Good luck with getting it sold!.....I'm gonna go cry in my beer now:cry
