Looking to clean rust off of chrome bumpers. Has anyone used SOS pads? I heard they work if you're careful.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Craig.

Of coarse it depends how bad they are. SOS pads work, but chrome Polish is a better starting point.

It it is best to always start off with the least aggressive and work your way up. Remembering once the damage is done there is no going back.

Good luck.

I have used 0000 steel wool (not SOS pads) with warm water and soap with good results. SOS pads might be too abrasive, I would be very careful using them. Good luck with it. :)

Thanks. I will use the 0000 steel wool. Also, I have heard it is good on windows with similar rust and grime issues.
