I've removed all of the trim from the windscreen and the windscreen also and stripped the steel frame and resprayed it. I'm getting ready to put it all back together now. but there was some sealant/adhesive on the chrome header moldings but i have no idea what it was. it was milky in color and had set hard, not soft like a normal sealant.

It goes on top of the corner chrome pieces shown above, but below the main chrome header that goes along the top.
Does anyone know what this was? or what would be a suitable replacement?
Was it even meant to be what i should have there found at all? I have found all sorts of odd things that don't belong or have been altered for no apparent reason, so nothing would surprise me. (other than something done right:chuckle)

If I recall, the AIM page showing the trim installation lists the sealant, but only by GM part number. You could look up the part number in the AIM guide but it is not likely to give you a brand name. Good quality silicon sealant will work since the intent is to keep rain water from seeping in.

Thanks
Checked the numbers for sealant in the AIM, it seems to only show black mastic and the foam strips which go in some places.
