I have a 76 that leaks pretty bad from above the pass side visor. I pulled all the inner plastic trim off and it is rusted but doesn't look rusted beyone repair. My question is about the chrome trim that runs between the t-tops and along the top of the windshield. I would like to pull it off and por-15 and seal up what I can. The piece is rivited in the back, screwed in the front, can i pry the piece up without major problems???? and then put it back in? I love tearing things apart but some times getting them back together again is the hard part.:J
Thanks for the advice.

the correct method would be to drill out the rivits so you can just replace them when you re-install the part. use a drill about the size of the inner portion of the rivit to insure that you only remove the stem of the rivit and do not enlarge the mounting hole any more than necessary. it would be a lot better than trying to pry the front up enough to work in the area.
