aloha everyone,
had the car over one year, this is the first hint of any problem.its more of a clack than a knock.sounds like its at the rear of the motor towards the bottom.can barely hear it with the hood open, can hear it pretty good from the side of car at the front of the door with my head on the ground.can hear it sometimes from in the car only if the windows are down, the bad news it increase and decreases with the rpms.im not exactly sure how the tunnel and shaft hook up to the motor,i will get under car and investigate tomorrow.oil pressure is good, level good,11% remain on oil change monitor.car feels totally normal even at high speeds.auto trans(stock)and no codes.anything at the rear of motor i should concentrate on?any input appreciated.later,Todd

Hi there,

This shows the torque tube, and driveline assembly.
You can see that on manual transmission cars, the #12 slides inside the clutch.
There is also an automatic version, which has a 10mm hex pinch bolt that may have come loose.

You can remove the plug in the driveline on the automatics. There is a similar plug to #2 in the front bellhousing.
Give it a look, all thebest, c4c5:hb
