Hi:
Read quite a bit on using microfiber "rags" to dry the car but, what do you guys use to "soap (Dawn) up" the car?

TIA
RickM

Not sure if you just want C6 owners to reply, but I don't believe your paint is particularly different. I personally prefer sheepskin mitts, but chenile sponges/mitts and sea sponges are also favorites of a lot of people. Anything that has a good nap to keep grit up off the paint should work well. I personally don't think microfiber is very good at this as it has very short nap, and rags have no backing or sponging or whatever to hold more soapy water.

I also wouldn't recommend Dawn to wash your car. It will be very hard on plastics and rubbers as well as your paint and any protectant on the paint. There are many gentle, affordable car washes out there to use instead. :w

I would not use Dawn except in preparation to claybar and wax. Dawn will remove any wax or polishes and will leave paint with no protection.
