I'm having trouble with climate control buttons sometimes working and sometimes not. I've disconnected the battery and pulled lights and radio fuses in order to reset the system but problem keeps occuring. Is the problem actually the buttons or the control board behind the buttons and what would new control board cost?? Any help would be appreciated.

It can go either way.

Sometimes the board(s) get loose in the sockets and cause this. Easy fix....pull the control head, separate the main board from the display board and observe the contact bar. I used a vinyl stick on tag and cut it down to fit, then put that on the non-contact side to tighten the fit. Works well. Beware the button pieces falling out if you take this apart.

If the board itself is bad then they are rebuildable. Look at any of the Corvette aftermarket stores and most have a rebuilder for ECMs, elect a/c control heads, etc... I had one done for $150 exchange.
