Clutch Adjustment?

I have a '96 6-speed and the clutch grabs a lot higher than I like and finishes very close the top of the pedal travel. I would like to move the engage point much lower in the pedal travel. Is this possible?

My reading so far identifies it as a hydraulic clutch and the shop manual tells you how to replace, but not adjust.

There is no pedal adjustment in the hydraulic system. You might bleed the system to see if the friction point location moves a bit, but it sound like it's about right.

Thanks for the answer. I suspected there might not be a manual adjustment available in an automatically adjusting system.
