Clutch issue.....

The clutch in my 96 LT4 (25k on car) has never felt right since I bought it (w/ 21,500 on it). Once I'm rolling it's pretty much good to go and never slips BUT it SHUDDERS like crazy when I take off from a stop unless I just roll off REAL EASY or GUN IT (which I'm not trying to do at every stop). What would be the cause of this? The clutch seems to grab close to the floor so I'm guessing that it's not ready to go but the shuddering....SUCKS ! Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you happen to know if there is an aftermarket clutch and/or flywheel installed?

I don't know the answer to that, yet w/ the low miles I gotta believe that it's all original. I'm about to find out though cuz I'm taking it to the dealer(I know I know)and I'm hoping to have it fixed but I'd like to have the upper hand if ya know what I mean..... I'm not replacing the clutch unless absolutely necessary:eyerole
