The stock 82 ecm has a prom that can't be rewriten but there as some old tbi truck ecm's that have an cracked prom that can be rewriten and/or replaced. That way you can alter stuff like the timing table, ratio's etc etc. I think if you look it up you can find some ecm numbers that will fit the 82.

The 7747 is not an edge card ecu so you need a HAM or do some wiring

The dynamicefi solution is much better and easier. Burning proms is old skool. Another option is an ostrich
